Arianna Karailias R.A.D R.T.S - Principal

 

Arianna is a qualified dance instructor with extensive dance training. Arianna has been involved in dance since the age of five and danced with various establishments including The Dance Class Studio & Illawong Dance Studio.

 

Her training includes RAD Ballet, Contemporary, FATD Tap, Jazz, Funk, FATD Modern, Spanish, Character, Belly Dancing. Speech and Drama.

 

Arianna has had the opportunity to learn from many talented professionals throughout her career, all of which have aided her and helped nurture her talents as a professional dancer and an instructor.

 

Arianna completed her RAD Ballet Teachers course in 2009 to become a registered instructor with the Royal Academy of Dance.  In 2020 Arianna completed her Rhythm Works Inclusive Dance certification course design for those with learning differences and additional needs, Basic Key Word sign language course, Performability Inclusive Dance course, has First Aid Training and over 19 years of experience teaching children.

 

Arianna has performed at the Engadine Musical Society – Wizard of Oz, HairExpo, Major Football Events, Boxing Events, Yellow Pages Launch, Australia Day Celebrations with Human Nature, ‘1001 Arabian Nights’, Cabaret Shows ‘Rocking Around the Country’, ‘Aloha Elvis in Hawaii’ and ‘The Follies’ as well as professional Belly Dancing.

 

As principal and proprietor of Illawong Dance Studio (2003 - 2008) and The Dance Empire (2007 – Current), Arianna aims to help nurture the talents of her students in order to achieve the best possible results. She takes great pride in her work and strives to ensure her students receive the best possible advice and training. This is undoubtedly reflected through the high grades attained by her students in both exams and eisteddfods.

Emma Van Doorn

​

Emma is a passionate dance teacher who looks to inspire her students to push for their greatest potential.   At 10 years old Emma was introduced to the world of dance, which she would go on to turn into a career as a professional dancer.   At 14 she appeared in her first big gig on Disney channel's music video 'Turn it up'.  At 17 Emma performed on such shows as X-factor, Young talent time, Nickelodeon and was a back up dancer dancer for Aussie singer and X-factor runner up Johnny Ruffo.  Since then Emma has continued to dance/perform in many shows, events, music videos and much more but has also found a great love for teaching and has over 9 years experience with students of all ages.   Emma wishes to pass on her love, passion and knowledge of dance to the next generation of dancers, whether they dance for fun or wish to turn it into a career.
